The Lake Zurich Flames is excited to be particpating in the TCYFL's Spring 7v7 league.  This league is primarly recreational and developmental. it is meant to be a fun way to practice football skills outside the fall season.

Are there age and weight restrictions?  This league is CO-ED and open to Kindergarten through 8th grade.  There are 4 age groups (K-3rd, 4th-5th, 6th-7th and 8th) and there are no weight restrictions.

What will be the cost?  The cost for the Spring 2025 7v7 is $165 per player.  This includes league fees, and uniforms and no additional costs or deposits are expected at this time.

When does the season start?  Practices will start in late March and will be either Tuesdays or Thursdays based on team and coach availablity.  Games will start Sunday April 6th and run through May 18th.

Where and when are the games?  Practices will be at Ela Township Community Park by Isaac Fox 21096 Deerpath Rd  (see map below).  Games will be Sundays with the exception of April 20th.  The games will be played at high schools in the area and will be announced when TCYFL publishes the schedule.  Games will not be played in Lake Zurich but should be within a reasonable drive. There will be 2 dates that will be double headers.

What are the rules? Rules are published by the TCYFL and can be found here - https://www.tcyfl.net/downloads.php.  There are seperate rules for K-3 and 4th-8th.

What equipment is required?  The only required equipment is a protective cup , a mouth guard and a large water jug or thermos. You will be provided a t-shirt and shorts that you get to keep after the season.  We also recommend cleats but they are not required. Gyms shoes are acceptable.  The league is "touch" so no flags are required.

How can I register to coach a team?  You can register to coach on the Lake Zurich Flames website located here.   Teams will need as much coaching support as possible so please consider coaching even if it's one practice a week. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

What size football do you use?  K-3 will use a Pee Wee, 4-5 will useTDJ (Junior), 6-8 will use TDJ (Junior) or TDY (Youth).
